Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. James Portzer has more than two decades of experience treating patients. Dr. Portzer received a bachelor's degree in biology from Villanova University and his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Portzer then completed an internship at United Health Services Hospital in Johnson City, NY before completing a residency at Memorial Hospital in York, PA, where he also received extensive training in trauma management.
When not in the office, Dr. Portzer enjoys flyfishing, white water kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and staying fit.
Dr. Portzer and his staff are a delight to deal with. They are knowledgeable and kind throughout every step of the appointment. I recommend them whenever I have the opportunity.
