what to expect from Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy
After you're comfortably seated in one of our private minor procedure rooms, a bit of blood will be taken from your arm and put into a centrifuge machine. Usually, we take about four tablespoons or one vial of blood. After approximately 15 minutes on the centrifuge machine, the components of the blood separate and are then ready to be injected. We will place your condensed plasma into a syringe and inject it into the treatment areas. PRP therapy usually only takes about five minutes but can vary from patient to patient.
